We begin the 5 days from Casablanca to Marrakech by picking you up from the airport or your hotel in Casablanca. The city is the largest in Morocco and the country’s commercial capital. The Hassan II Mosque is the largest in all of Morocco, and we plan to see it.
It is situated on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the city’s west shore. Lunchtime is open. Then we go on an adventure throughout the city, stopping by the amazing Cornish town of Casablanca. Staying in a hotel for the night.
We leave right after breakfast and head to Volubilis, where the old Roman remains. It has been well taken care of because UNESCO selected it as a World Heritage Site. There are old pillars and arches all over the place, as well as many beautiful tiles.
We drive 30 kilometers to Meknes after strolling over the ruins. The city is known as the Ismaili capital and is one of Morocco’s imperial cities. We visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, Royal stable, granary, and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then we’re off to Fes. Stay in a Riad for the night.
We go south through Imouzzer to see Ifrane after a warm breakfast. The city is famous for its cold weather, snow, and homes built in the Alpine style. It is easy to see why it is called the Switzerland of Morocco. The journey then goes to the cedar forest, which is home to the Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them while exploring the forest.
Later, we’ll head to Midelt, where we’ll have some free time for lunch. We then drive to Merzouga over the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz Valley. Stops for panoramic views will be made along the trip.
We arrive in the afternoon at the Merzouga Sahara desert. Then you ride camels across the arid desert. You will pause on top of a high dune to watch the sunset. Finally, you make your way to the desert camp. The camp is a cross between traditional nomad tents and the elegance of a hotel. Where you can listen to Berber drum music while dancing around a campfire beneath a starry sky. Dinner and sleeping at the camp.
After breakfast, we leave the desert towards Rissani, known profusely as Sijilmassa, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a large trading center in the Desert region, with the biggest souk lively on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
After a walk in Rissani Souk, we’ll continue to Erfoud, where we’ll visit one of the workshops for fossilized marble. Then we cross Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains. The gorges are an ideal place for climbing sports.
Feel free to wander in the gorges and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch in a nearby restaurant, then we continue to the Dades valley, through Boumalne Dades. a stop at the “monkey paw” rock formation. And a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley Pass. dinner and overnight in a hotel.

We continue our journey via Skoura’s picturesque palm trees. Ouarzazate, also called the “gate of the desert,” is our next stop. We’re going to check out the studios where all those blockbuster movies were made.
A trip to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah is in order. A fortified settlement that UNESCO has designated as a World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has also been featured in numerous films, such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc., and television shows like “Game of Thrones.” The next stop is Marrakesh.
