A Marrakech to Fes desert tour lasting 3 days that ends in Fes and goes to the Sahara Desert is a great way to see a lot of the southern part of Morocco. Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley

We will depart Marrakech at 8:00 a.m. and go to the High Atlas Mountains. As it goes up to Morocco’s highest pass, there is a road that winds through lush valleys and Berber towns. It is a very impressive and beautiful trip. Tizi N’Tichka is located at an altitude of 2260 meters. We’ll break for a coffee or mint tea and some photos. In the afternoon, you will visit the famous set site for international directors and filmmakers, Ait Benhaddou, which is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Many films have been made in this Kasbah, which was a highly important fortress and stronghold on the old Salt Road where caravans brought gold, slaves, ivory, and salt in order to trade from faraway destinations to Moroccan cities. Our three-day tour from Marrakech to Fes continues to Ouarzazate, which has many film studios and is known as Africa’s Hollywood. Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert

After lunch, we head south towards the Sahara. Along the route, you’ll discover a lovely oasis, palm groves, historic ruins and adobe kasbahs, and dinosaur relics. People call Erfoud the “city of fossils” because the area used to be an ocean and is full of fossils and rocks that are used to make beautiful furniture and decorations.

The sea of sand marks the conclusion of our path today, and for the second night, the guide and your camel will be waiting in the Erg Chebbi dunes to transport you to your desert camp across the towering golden dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. You will be astounded by the vista of stars above you before your dinner is served and local traditional music is played to enjoy the tranquil weather.

Day 3: Merzouga to Fes

After getting up before sunrise to witness the desert’s most spectacular sight, the sun rising over the horizon. Our journey today will take us to the Medina of Fes. Then, as we travel north through the vast Ziz Valley, we’ll pass through Midelt, which is 1488 meters above sea level and undershadowed by Jbel Ayachi at 3737 meters.
